Yes, I know, I know --

Why - oh why?! - am I starting a blog when I can't even keep my site(s) current?

Well, it has a lot to do with the fact that it's easier to update this than it is to update the site and I'm going to be redoing the site and turning it into a showcase for my artwork, which should simplify updating it, too.

If anyone knows of a decent WYSIWYG HTML editor, I would love to hear about it. Dreamweaver is way more editor than I need; I won't even go into what I think about FrontPage. I spend so much of my time hand-coding when I'm updating that I don't get much content taken care of and it turns into a much bigger effort than I usually have time for.

Hence, my site does not get updated like it should. I need an editor that doesn't vomit extraneous code. Why not just handcode if I spend just as much time cleaning up the crap? I'll even pay for the editor if it's a good one.

I have no idea how long it will take for folks to find this -- if they ever do -- but it should be helpful if only to get my thoughts about what is happening around me down on paper. It may keep my level of anger to a manageable level.

I'll be touching on life in general, a little politics, getting old, being an artist, American corporations, work, maybe some play (I don't do enough of that), living a single life (and loving it), being a parent and a grandparent, friends, acquaintances, and just stuff.

I'll try to make it an interesting ride...

In the Beginning . . .

. . . it was decided by all that were wise and good to try something new even though the technology was old as far as technology goes.

So. A blog. And off we go --
